Later This Year, 10-inch MSI Tegra Tablet Launch

The race at making the computer compact and easy to use just got swifter.
Come late 2010, Micro-Star International or MSI, the computer and portable electronics maker, will launch its tablet PC with an NVIDIA Tegra Chip.

Its prototype was displayed at CES. The tablet features a 10 inch touchscreen, and is priced starting $500, somewhat similar to Apple’s just out iPad. At the CES opening ceremony of the prototype, the firm showed a tablet PC running Android, which means hardly any more cost overheads beyond Windows Mobile devices.

The tablet will weigh light, be slim enough to hold, while boasting of all other functions like a notebook.



The company will launch other versions of the tablet as well, later half of this year, based on market demands.

Besides MSI, Asustek Computer announced on January 27, its Asus@Vibe, a digital content programme to host music, news, digital lessons, e-books, web-games for such devices, and the like. In effect, Asustek hints at its plans for the Eee Pad in June.
